A must, must read from Glenn Greenwald at The Guardian on how Obama has continued Pres. Bush’s stance on indefinite incarceration at Gitmo. Just because Obama wanted to move Gitmo does not mean any of their rights would have been instated by the government.

Guantanamo Prisoners Get Access to Their Lawyers

The government has been violating habeas corpus by detaining prisoners at Guantanamo Bay with out legal representation by restricting access to lawyers and certain pieces of evidence. But a federal judge has ruled that this violates the rights of the prisoners in terms of challenging their incarceration.

With this ruling hopefully those innocent at Gitmo will soon be returned to their homes.
