A good op-ed by Thomas Friedman in the NYT today about the Israel/Palestinian peace process, which is rare in the mainstream media, in light of Pres. Obama’s trip to Israel next week. Friedman states that the peace process has become a hobby for U.S. presidents, not a necessity, due to the fact the cold war is over and the U.S. is producing so much of it’s own oil these days.
