The government has been violating habeas corpus by detaining prisoners at Guantanamo Bay with out legal representation by restricting access to lawyers and certain pieces of evidence. But a federal judge has ruled that this violates the rights of the prisoners in terms of challenging their incarceration.
With this ruling hopefully those innocent at Gitmo will soon be returned to their homes.

These people have been held like this so they can’t reveal the details about the US and UK supporting terrorist groups to do their dirty work for decades. That’s why there are secret trials and censored reports. I wouldn’t be too quick to have any faith in the law – the powerful countries don’t believe in law, except for others.
